Sure, oversized t-shirts and sweatpants are comfortable and easy to throw on. But if you want to gain respect, dress how you want to be treated.
We are a society that obsesses on looks. We tend to judge what the person is wearing before we get to know the person. This can be a vice at times, but if you look at it with a different perspective, you can use this fact to your advantage.
Start dressing like the person who you want to be. Taking a little more time and effort can make you be admirable and allows people to judge the real you. Hiding behind baggy, unflattering clothes is just a cover. So, put that comfort level aside and start wearing clothes that allow you to shine.
If you dress like you don’t care, people won’t care. However, if you dress like you own the room, then you will. Don’t use fashion as a vice against you but allow fashion to become your new best friend. When we start valuing who we are, we will dress like we are of value.

If a guy criticize you because of your sweatpants, does not deserve you in a wedding dress. Just to make it clear. 🙂
